Does God take mental disorders into account when judging a persons worth?

A little something that’s been boggling my mind (or perhaps my spirit). I’ve suffered from depression most of my life (and still do). To those who also suffer from depression know that “what you do in life” and “what you wanna do” all pretty much revolve around your mental state (sad but…

Overall, this question makes me sad.
I hate to push my opinions on religion onto anybody, but..
this is so upsetting.
It’s sad that some people question their worthiness because of the crap that religion fills their heads with.

Since the Catholic Church has been training exorcists again, people can have the demons removed. So there in no longer a good reason to be depressed or crazy. Once the demons are removed there is a clear path available to salvation,

Depression is a myth, have you not heard. It is a psychological disorder invented to make money, much like alcoholism. Tell me that you get up every morning and Jog a mile but still feel depressed. This is what the medical community does not want you to know:

The Myth of Biological Depression
Many professional and lay people today think depression can be caused by “chemical imbalance” in the brain even though none of the “chemical imbalance” theories of depression have been verified. Some of them are discussed by Dr. Andreasen in her book The Broken Brain.

Exercise will cure over 90% of all depressions. “Cure”

I believe that God is loving. I believe that if we pray, repent, and choose good over evil… that even if we have a bad day (are depressed and can’t get out of bed), He will understand.

That said, if you are doing destructive things and using the depression as an excuse to do evil things, I’m not sure how God would feel about that. Only God knows. As the verse below states:

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Matthew 7:1

We are truly all unique and each have different spiritual challenges during our journey on earth. I pray that you figure out yours. God Bless

“Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy”
Proverbs 14:10

Hell, honey, NO! Jesus Christ hung around with what we as modern people would consider to be the “scum of the earth”! Of course they weren’t – no one is. But it’s how we modern – and ancient people – tend to view one another. We need some to be down and out so others can be flying high – or so they think.

God uses weak people, hurt people, lost people, depressed people, all kinds of people the world considers unworthy. Don’t ever think you’re less than anybody else b/c you suffer from depression.

You are a MAGNIFICENT gift! From the God who loves you!

None of us are more or less worthy of God’s love than the next person. Depression is a complicated subject. Personally, I believe that in America it is often caused by poor diet. Also, people tend to believe that negative thought processes are the result of chemicals or chemical imbalances. I think it’s a two-way street, though. Poisonous thought processes can equally effect chemistry in the brain, so it’s not always an excuse. It’s all a question of degree, really. God, however, knows everything about you and your heart and mind, and He will most definitely take all into consideration. 🙂

ya know, i use to wonder the same thing.
and if god is real, and just and fair, which they say in the bible that he is. then i would like to think that he created each of us uniquely. With our own “crosses to bear” so to speak. This would mean those born with diseases, born gay, born with whatever ails them, maybe god just wants to see how you will turn it over to him. he says we are born into sin. so we are all sinners, no matter how hard we try to be perfect, we just cannot be as long as we are in this mortal body. but i think if you have depression, which is a daily struggle, if you give it to him and verbally and whole heartedly tell him that you cannot handle it, he will accept that. he wants us to realize that he created us, and most importantly that we need him. he knows our doubts and our mental state even when we ourselves dont want to admit them.

He will be honest and fair !!!

Muslims say that Jesus never said He was God, well here is proof that He said that He was !!!

Mark 14:60-65 (New International Version)

60Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus, “Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?” 61But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer.
Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Christ,[a] the Son of the Blessed One?”

62″I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

63The high priest tore his clothes. “Why do we need any more witnesses?” he asked. 64″You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?”

They all condemned him as worthy of death. 65Then some began to spit at him; they blindfolded him, struck him with their fists, and said, “Prophesy!” And the guards took him and beat him.

Heavenly Father,
I want to know You as the true and living God. I ask you to forgive me and cleanse me from everything I’ve done wrong. Change my heart, and give me a new life. I turn from false gods and submit my life to your Son Jesus Christ as my only Savior and Lord. Fill me with the power of Your Holy Spirit.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for paying the penalty for my sins and giving me a relationship of friendship with you !!!

I would think a real and might “God” would not let his own creations suffer with depression in the first place.

I overcame a very bad depression in the 90s when I stopped worrying about religion and began to assume it absurd.

When a disorder like depression comes upon a person, that is just the devil attacking you and trying to steal your joy and happiness. Ask God to release you from the devils strongholds and you will be released, you just have to live a life walking close to God and trusting in him that he’ll take you through this.

I asked a bible-thumping girl I knew this question and she said that when we die we become perfect like Jesus. That is partly why I am very content in being an atheist. Religious people just make this sh*t up.

If god does exist he sure is not doing anything to help humanity.
