I currently have 2 dogs and 2 cats ranging in age from 1 to 15. My older dog, a 15lb dog, is 8 years old and does not actively play with my 2 year old dog (50lb dog)who has a lot of energy. Am I crazy for adding a new dog to the family? All of my animals go to the vet a couple times a year, go for daily walks,…
No and don’t get one just because you want a puppy, but if you have plenty of room and the money to take care of them do what makes you happy, as long as your family doesn’t live with you it’s your house, you sound like you take excellent care of them and if you get joy from them and you make them happy, it’s your life
No, not really- 6 dogs, 5 rabbits (currently), 2 gerbils, a 10 year, 2 year old and another on the way….it just takes the right personality to handle the responsibility and make sure everyone gets the attention they deserve, as well as the finances to handle it.
Well we have 3 dogs, but we are a family it doesn’t just fall on one person. If someone is sick the other pitches in.
I kind of think you are crazy because puppies are WORK. not to mention the FOOD BILL.
But goldens are kind of addictive and you may well end up with one more in another year!
Its a really good idea I have two chiauhaus one great pyrnese mix puppy and one wolf hybrid puppy and adding a pure wolf to the family next week.
ps i have 2 cats right now and one of them just had 5 kittens a few days ago!
Yes and I love it, and you sound responsible and a good pet owner, the animals are lucky to have you!
Good Luck with your new addition!!
