My 12 year old daughter is having a birthday party with boys and girls and she doesn’t know what to do! All she can think of is a cupcake bar where we make our own cupcakes! But the boys might think that’s lame so can anyone think of any ideas that are not lame that she can do with her friends? There are 5…
My brother is 12 and I’m sure he’d love that cupcake bar! But I guess it depends on the boy..
-You could split up the group into 2 teams, create a list of weird, random things and have a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood! Just remember to tell everyone which houses to NOT go to..(where the mean neighbors are).. who ever gets the most on the list in a certain amount of time wins. (You might need a couple adults to keep an eye on the kids) My favorite birthday parties are the ones with scavenger hunts!
Here’s an example list for a scavenger hunt:
1. a carrot
2. a rubber band
3. a Q tip
4. a violet colored crayon
5. a sock with a hole in it
6. a potato
6. a used stamp
7. a pop can
8. a plastic fork
9. a pack of takeout ketchup
10. an eraser
-If the weather is nice, have an outdoor treasure hunt! The treasure can be something like candy or the party favors
-Watch a movie that both genders would enjoy while eating popcorn and snacks!
-Make up a game of charades! Cut little squares out of 2 or 3 pieces of paper, and write characters’ names from cartoons, movies, an animal, or an object on it! Put them all into a bowl and you’ve got some charades cards!

Pool Party..! Go to a public pool and then go back to someones house to watch a movie to eat pizza and stuff its pretty low budget-ish. That’s what I did for my b-day 🙂
im 11 and when i started to go to parties like 4 years ago i would play spin the bottle and sometimes seven minutes in heaven its really fun! spin the bottle is the best! or if you’re one of those moms who thinks there kid is to young for all that and stuff they can play truth or dare and maybe go to the movies have your kids be ALONE for a while and let them play truth or dare you being there watching there every move isn’t going to make it fun..
I am 11 turning 12 in march. kids like simple parties with boys and girls so do a NO PARENTS ALLOWED party were u just on the kids every hour and they play like truth or dare, spin the bottle, and like 7mins. in heaven kids our age like that kind of stuff just keep it simple and fun!!!!
treasure hunts are always fun.
