A new rule is going be introduced – only 4 players will be allowed outside the 30 yard circle even in non powerplay overs
Question is are they targetting asian teams ? How on earth spinners are going to survive ? earlier they introduced two new ball rule to keep reverse swing out of the equation..also the ball…
Look at it this way… 4 outside the circle makes it 5 fielders at all times inside the circle at the very least. Which means fewer gaps in the infield for the batsman to exploit, making them play out of their comfort zone and try to hit the spinner over the top. Actually I think it could work in the spinners’ favour, as batsmen would look to attack them over the infield and perish sooner or later. Nudging spinners around for ones and twos would be reduced
I want to see reverse swing back in the game. Clearly it is the venom of the bowlers and cricket is not just art of batting. Again, by making frequent changes ICC is making a mass. What ICC should think of now is how to reduce umpiring mistake close to 0.
MS Dhoni termed the new rules for ODIs as “tricky” and said that getting … New ICC ODI rules are a bit tricky, says Dhoni … “Earlier while chasing, teams would be happy to keep the batting powerplay for the last five overs.
Icc thinks this will “spice up” odi. They also believe that high scoring matches are more interesting. Icc seems to be run by indians. Bad rule changes.

WHAT!!!, Honestly I don’t see sense in these rules. I think the ICC needs a change of management
yeah.. Good question.. Only 4 players outside the ring thing is a bad one in the first glance.. Nightmare for spiners..Debatable.
Odi is getting boring cz of dead pitches & for too many over .If bowler become more easy target & teams easily get 300 plus every match i will stop watching ODI
ya, it might be some problm with the new rule but the countries should adopt to the rules to make the wins….
give a link so i can read the whole story first.
the rule will be axed pretty soon then imo.
